A creative turned marketer
Apart from writing, I like to build brands that people love, and have done so successfully for 14+ years and across seven countries. I finished my studies in Maastricht, and started my career in creative advertising agencies in Madrid and Berlin, then spent four years at Google in Dublin, London and Mexico City, and for the past decade, I have worked in startups between Paris and Madrid, amidst the chaos of fundraising rounds, rounds of layoffs, hyper growth, hyper failures, IPOs and acquisitions.
During this time, I've done a fair share of everything, from managing teams of 20+, to teams of myself only, from having budgets of 15M€ to budgets of 0, always within the realms of marketing and storytelling, applying creativity to solve business problems.
What motivates me is the power of ideas, and as cheesy and romantic as it may sound, I want to believe that my work helps to make the world a little bit better, so I have always joined companies that have a positive mission. You can connect with me on the social network where everyone is thrilled and excited and humbled about something all the time.

And a pupil turned teacher
I was lucky to have some great teachers back in the day who made me fall in love with the craft of telling stories. From photography to advertising, from script to campaign, not only they played a big role in my career, but they also inspired me to follow their path, so once I felt I knew something worth sharing, I went ahead and did it.
I have been a guest lecturer and teacher at IE business school and The core School in Madrid, teaching Master's degree students about storytelling and content marketing, and I'd like to do more of this when I find the time...

Dreaming of the big screen
When I quit Google, I sent an email to all my colleagues promising them that I would become a successful writer and that my novels would be turned into movies, directed by David Fincher of course. We are not there yet, but the hope remains, and that's what I work on secretly every night while my son and my wife are asleep.
The editorial world is ruthless, though. No one cares about you if you aren't already famous, literary agents take eight weeks to reject you, and reader's attention span is so short than even reading this paragraph feels like a massive mental effort. But if you made it this far in the page, let me tell you a secret: marketing is what feeds me, but writing is what fuels my heart, so I will keep trying until I succeed, because everyone was no one at some point.
Also, I want to become an actor but I'm too shy to try, so if you are an agent looking to discover someone, today is your lucky day, I studied for a semester at the Gaiety school of Acting in Dublin and I was an extra in Game of Thrones in a scene with Arya Stark, so yeah... that's who I am.
